Thanks to our Purchase of a Canon Digital Rebel, a hobby has been reborn!
Ike now thinks his career as a doggie model is under way.We are dreading the day when he begins to demand royalties for his work. Hopefully, he will settle for brand name treats.
Mel and I can't wait to use use this camera more, we hope to get back to one of my long lost hobbies. And the best thing about it is that we no longer have the expense of developing film! I love how easy it is to experiment with shutter speed, aperture, and exposure settings. Though I will admit a bit of the fun has been taken out of this by the digital age.... There is no longer the pressure to get things right the first time!
As for types of photography, personally I would like to expand on my knowledge of macro photography. Wildlife photography will have to wait a couple of years until I get a telephoto lens that fits the camera. It has definitely displayed a key difference between Mel and I. While I tend to focus on the science of the art of photography, Melissa tends to just snap away. I think this is indicative of our personalities. Just as in our day-to-day lives I hope we can each learn a bit from each other and expand ourselves not only as photographers but as people. Ahhhh, so sappy!
